Labor & Delivery

Labor was not that bad! I went into labor at 3 in the morning, on the 31st. We hung out at the house and I showered and what not, then headed into the hospital about 6:30. My contractions had been about 5 minutes apart since 4 am. When we got there the attending nurse was telling me that it's really common for first time mom's to be sent home, well when she checked me and I was at a 4+ she decided that I really was going to have the baby. My doctor happened to be at the hospital delivering another baby so he peeked in and told her to admit me and he'd break my water.
I went natural until I was a little more than a 8 and my contractions were a minute apart, I started throwing up and decided that it was time for the epidural. After that I took a little nap then the Dr. came in and said that we were ready to push!
I pushed for an hour, and then our wonderful little boy was born at 5:07pm. Josh was fascinated by the whole thing and thought that it was wonderful. He was able to cut the umbilical cord as well.

The video is of me and Braxton right after he was born when they set him on my chest.

?!?!Snow day?!?!

Just letting everyone know that today is a Snow Day for Washington County School District! I know what you are thinking, snow day= 3 or 4 feet of snow, in St. George?!

Well I just wanted to set everyone straight, in Washington County a snow day is um 2-3 inches of snow!

I can't complain too much, I mean I don't have to teach, I get to do whatever I want......but honestly I remember our snow days growing up- you were plowed in....you spend the day shoveling and building snowmen, going sledding.....ya the kids might get lucky if they have enough for a decent snowman! ;)
Oh well Happy snow day!

Puppies

I couldn't resist, my parents got some puppies 2 weeks ago and they are just adorable and I figured that the world needed to get to know Kodyack and Timber!

Josh was trying to sneek out of thier house with the puppy....
Then he thought he would put him in Buddy's stocking as a christmas gift for our doggies.....I'm not sure what they would think about that! :)
