Valentines 2013

For Valentines this year Braxton had been talking about wanting a Jake and the Neverland Pirates boat for his valentines box.  I had just ignored the request, assuming that he would change his mind. Well, he never changed his mind!! So like any creative person I googled it, I thought for sure someone else would have done something I could copy.  To my surprise there wasn't a lot out there!!  Lots of cakes.....but only 2 valentines boxes....so I decided to take matters into my own creative hands!  I went to the garage and gathered up a few different sized boxes and some duck tape.

I was moving along quite nicely when Josh came by and asked what I was doing.... I said making Braxton a boat, he said it looked like a war vessel..... So I was slightly discouraged and told him that he was going to help me then!  Like the amazing talented man that he is he told me what to do and together we made this awesome boat for Braxton.
Brax wanted to help so bad.... I let him paint the slide and help glue it on!

It turned into quite the project but we had a pretty stoked dude to take his Pirate ship to class!! :)

The down side Boston was so sad that he didn't have anything to take, well he doesn't go to school yet and we had to keep reminding him that he'd get one next year.... so I suppose that is daddy's challenge keep up the good work year after year after year!! :)

We had a super fun Valentines party with some friends.....we decorated cookies made valentines ate pizza and had a rockin' PHOTOBOOTH!!  The kids loved it, heck I loved it!  We had it all set up for the families to come over and get all dressed up and my dad took the pictures!  They got to take their photo strip home with them!! :)  Defiantly a hit will have to do it at more shin digs!

7 years of togetherness

So......Josh had been kinda sneaking around and acting funny when I would talk about what we were going to do for our anniversary.  I just kinda dismissed it, Josh loves surprises... especially if he gets to deliver the surprise.  So I figured he was sneaking around to plan my gift........well it ended up that he planned a lot more than just a gift! 

Wednesday night Kyson Spendlove came over and delivered this invitation.  He said " A special invitation for a special lady." When I opened it I started to wonder what he had been up to but decided to let him do his thing!!  

 

Then when I was busy doing something on our anniversary these appeared down stairs.

  

I got all gussied up....mind you I don't have a lot of formal wear.  It looks kinda funny to get that dressed up for church!!  So I went and dug out some old dance dresses to see what I could make work. I think it turned out just perfect.  I also decided to sport the jewelry I wore on our Wedding Day! 

 I was ready early....I know pretty crazy so the boys and I took some silly self portraits! Brax & Mom

We went for a nice long ride Josh had made Hot Chocolate for the ride, we ended up at the Spendlove's house and Josh took me around back and we had a gorgeous 5 star restaurant.  

He dug up our wedding pictures and had them displayed while we ate the appetizer we watched out wedding video.

Halloween 2012

Halloween this year was lots of fun.....and a little extra work for mom! ( I decided that I would use some of my talents to make my costume and alter Boston's.  It took a little longer than planned but they both turned out wonderful!!)

We headed to Western Legacy Ranch for FHE the Monday before Halloween they had a whole big set up for Halloween.  A hayride, headless horseman, Corn Maze, lasso roping and horse rides......they boys absolutely loved it!

It's a working farm so they have goats and other animals and Braxton loved feeding them the moldy bread!

I made my costume this year!!  It was a lot of fun, I found these awesome pink shoes to make the outfit!

The costumes!!   So I came up with this crazy idea that it would be fun to make costumes this year......I got two friends from work to join in my craziness  and we go together after work for two weeks and made some awesome costumes.....the pictures don't do them justice but they rocked!!  Remember we work at an ELEMENTARY so the kids thought we were the COOLEST things to EVER walk the HALLS!!
